Rahul Gandhi, Republic Day with children in hospital

On the first day of his long three-day tour his parliamentary constituency Amethi, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi began his agenda in the Republic Day by calling the school injured in Raebareli District Hospital here. He also met with parents and families and assured all help from his office.
The children were injured, while his jeep collided with a school truck while they were on their way to assist the function of Republic Day at their school. Four children were killed instantly and a dozen wounded. More Later, Gandhi also visited the morgue and condolences to the families of the dead. The families were taken to be the leader among them in their time of grief. Most of the children were from people Ragunathpur Katahali.
Following its scheduled meeting, Gandhi, then proceeded to the meeting of a worker Ahal village in held an election and a meeting with the gram panchayat elected representatives and took stock of the development work in the area. Gandhi also heard the complaints and noted complaints of the villagers.
A meeting of workers was carried out also in the room block in the village Rampur Kasih and also laid the foundation stone of a public services building in the village. Rajiv Gandhi also visited the local Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana and took stock of activities and ongoing projects for the empowerment of women in the region.
In his time on Sunday and Monday, Gandhi is scheduled to attend these meetings and many more have one to one discussions with local representatives. A meeting of the local MLAs have also been convened during his tour.
